Seaforth
is an industrial mineral supply company, with international sources
of product that primarily serves markets in the United States and
Canada.
The
company was founded in 1957. Its name was derived from the Seaforth
Highlanders, a Scottish military regiment that is sentimental to
the Company's founding family.
1957
- Seaforth founded.
1960
- The first of many affiliated fluorspar mines was developed in
Mexico.
1978
- Seaforth began drying and processing fluorspar in its East Liverpool,
Ohio location.
1986
- Additional land facilities were purchased in East Liverpool to
triple capabilities.
In
planning future growth, Seaforth is looking at the developments
of other mineral sources in addition to fluorspar and strontium
carbonate, either directly or indirectly through a web of other
industrial mineral companies and facilities.
